Puch Maxi, Tomos and Hanstholm belong together like salt and sea. Hop on a classic moped, buckle your helmet and feel the freedom as you trudge through Cold Hawaii with the wind at your face and a local guide at the front.
This tour is all about the feel of the West Coast. You experience surf spots around the pier in Hanstholm and we roll off the coast road towards Klitmøller, the surfers' paradise. Here we take a well-deserved stop by the sea and let the calm sink in while enjoying a cold beer or soft drink. When the depots are filled up, the tour continues into Thy National Park. We drive through clipped heath, plantation and open expanses as the stories of the park, nature and life out here unfold. It's quiet and grand, and you get the feeling of being in the middle of something raw, free and all your own.
What does the trip consist of?
The tour is a guided moped experience through Hanstholm, along Cold Hawaii and into Thy National Park, focusing on the surf spots, the views, the local stories and the special culture that belongs to the place. You get:
• a classic moped provided — either PUCH Maxi or Tomos
• a local guide who shows around and shares stories from the area
• communication equipment in the helmet so you can hear the guide's stories along the way
• helmet and necessary safety equipment
• the mandatory milk crate;
• 1 beer or soft drink on the way
It is also possible to rent a Hanstholm-habit (flight suit), gloves and clogs without a heel cap, so you can stay warm and look cool at the same time.

There needs to be time for equipment, instruction and to get everyone off well. Things take the time they take in West Jutland.
Who can participate?
• Minimum age: 15 years
• If you are under the age of 18, you must bring an adult of legal age with you on the trip
• You can participate if you have a moped or regular driving license
• If you have reached the age of 18 before January 19, 2013, a driver's license is not required
• Guide, or police, may ask to see driver's license or ID
Bring
• Valid driving license (minimum for small moped) if it is a requirement for you
• Clothing suitable for the weather. In West Jutland it blows all year round (except for the days when it storms) so trips are not canceled for a little wind or a bit of rain.
